What got you interested in working in the world of Legacy Home and Estate Services?
During the 1980’s I worked at a local Antique Mall & Auction House. I loved every minute, but life changed. Architecture and construction always intrigued me, so houses and the real estate industry naturally fit me and my inquisitive mind. Legacy Louisville combines both of those passions.
Where did you grow up?
Louisville, KY, beside the Zoo.
What is your favorite thing you found in a house?
My favorite thing I found/find in a home is a hand-marked child’s growth chart on the door frame or back of a door. This is somewhat common, but melts my heart every time.
What is the funniest thing you had to tell your friends about in a house?
The funniest thing (that I can print) is about a Seller who worked the night shift and slept during the day. Showings were allowed. Note on bedroom door said you open door to peek inside the bedroom, but be advised sleeping buck naked!
We are treasure hunters, what are things you consider a treasure?
Treasures are things that make my heart smile. They take me to a different time or place in my mind and soul. Monetary value is not a factor.
Tell us one story that you would love for folks to know about you and your legacy?
My story has been filled with an enormous amount of non-scripted, life-changing moments. However, I can sum it all up in one word: Family. Growing up in the days of innocence, large families, (and zero tech), family, friends, and ingenuity were my world. We learned to love, fight, forgive, persevere, and be present for each other. That is the Legacy I continue to uphold and pass on to future generations.
