What got you interested in working in the world of Legacy Home and Estate Services?
The business model made so much sense. With the amount of baby boomers in the Louisville Metro area needing this type of service to help guide them through a difficult transition. Whether it be a simple downsize or a loss of a loved one we believed that having one company handle it all made perfect sense.Â
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Louisville Kentucky. My parents moved to Mt Washington Kentucky in the late 70’s and that is where I Lived for the next 15 years of my life.Â
What is your favorite thing you found in a house?
Pair of unused Kentucky Derby Tickets from 1973 (Secretariat Winner). We found a photo album that was tucked deep into the back of a closet. We initially put it with the family items to return but I decided to take a look inside.  I am so glad I did as we found a plethora of Kentucky Derby Memorabilia dating back to the 1930’s. The 2 unused 1973 tickets out performed everything in the sale!Â
We are treasure hunters, what are things you consider a treasure?
We love finding old sports memorabilia! Being a collector myself I have a passion for anything vintage sports items like Sports cards, autographs, tickets and equipment. Since the pandemic the sports memorabilia industry has made a resurgence and we don’t anticipate it slowing down anytime soon.Â
Tell us one story that you would love for folks to know about you and your legacy?
Most people don’t know that I was involved in a climbing accident about 15 years ago. I was repelling at the Red River Gorge at a location called frogs head. Google it, you will be shocked. I fell about 185 feet landing on rocks. I spent about a month at UK Hospital recovering from the injuries the required hours of surgery. I spent an additional 6 months at home letting my body heal before I returned to work. It was an eye opening experience that has made me appreciate the smaller things in life for sure. This is when I realized I wanted to do something more gratifying with my life and the main reason we started this business. I have a passion for helping people and we identified a massive need in the area and we wanted to be a solution.
